Really good

I like it, but you need to mix and master more, theres barely any bass..and I have headphones on. Its all very treble-based.

Also I would bring down the bpm a bit, it all sounds really rushed. But a very good song that's put together well.

KTRECORDS responds:

I didn't find out about the equalizers and what not on my software until I released this version of the song unfortunately lol. If i ever decide to update the song a bit more, it'll probably sound a bit better in that respect. Whenever I do sit down and mess with some sort of bassline for the song, it gets extremely cluttered and unpleasant, so I'm still trying to figure out a way around that. Keep checkin back, maybe you'll find what you're lookin for in a new update!

Alright

It was ok

Too random

You should mix and master and add more effects

And the drums sounded really weird

And the notes didn't have any real melody to it..too random

But for your first submission it was well done :D

Keep it up

Sniperskeleton responds:

Cheers for the review. I'll take the "random" comment into mind. :D

I am amazed

I have been skeptical about your recent works because they seemed to generic. I mean they're still fucking amazing better than 99.9% of any normal human could do, but it seemed you didn't try to put your own spin on things..

But this piece speaks differently.

I can see many different emotions in the backdrop

Percussion: The triplets on the snare make me feel like I'm charging, that I need to get this bunker/hill or else I'll probably die>
Strings: The quick changes between the notes, with few drawn out ones, make it feel very exciting, that I shouldn't stand still and I should keep on my toes...keeps up the suspense
Brass: Really compliments the strings well, and the bells are amazing backdrops.

I really hope you can show people how you make this stuff.
What do you use?

I'm utterly amazed by this piece.

MaestroRage responds:

Sure, I have nothing to hide.

I use Fruity Studios as my sequencer and East West libraries for my instrument sounds. This particular product was made entirely in East West Symphonic Orchestra Gold PRO, except for the choir sounds, which was East West Symphonic Choirs ;D!

And the recent stuff is me trying to find new styles and ideas to toy around with. True they are fairly generic, then again it's difficult mastering a new idea right away so I start off by producing what people have heard already and treading waters softly from there.

Thanks for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Amazing

I second that you do a tutorial, I'd seriously be interested in your techniques :D

dj-KDUB responds:

haha. if i had a program that allowed me to show my screen, i'd do it, but i don't at this moment.

uhh

What in God's name is that?....off-beat drums...out of tune guitar playing a single note over and over..and some guy who sounds like hes having an asthma attack yelling about something I don't know because I can't hear him.

Frostvind666 responds:

Here´s the lyrics to this song.......

They bleed every day
Wounds too deep for healing
Infested by hate
Infested by you
Infested

A childhood nightmare
Ordinary shoolday
Turned into damnation
For mind and spirit
Scars in my soul
They will never heal

They bleed every time
I think about
Those days in school
Always alone
Never with someone
But myself

They bleed every day
Wounds too deep for healing
Infested by hate
Infested by you
Infested

WOW

Amazing

The beginning reminds me of bomberman for the 64..i don't know why haha

Nav responds:

Oh I have that game! Never played it through, and I don't remember much of it, but maybe I should check it out now! :P

Thanks for the review! :D

Awesome backing track

But I can't stand the singing..good voice..NOT metal...she should do Opera...or classical..or something else...not Metal..plus I just hate female voices

So can you just send me the backing track? I'd appreciate it though I doubt you will..your a busy man :P

MaestroRage responds:

Well, I usually do opera and classical. But that's what makes this song different from all the other ones. There are plenty of other metal bands with female vocals, so I really don't see why I couldn't do it. But no. I will not grant you the backing track, because I am the one who wrote it. It's mine to give or keep, and I won't give it away. Thank you for listening.

Fucking amazing

One of the best songs I've heard in a long time..what did you use to make this??

AvatarKami responds:

Thanks for the kind words. For this I used Garageband. Take care.

Not bad

I did the same mistake you did though, I used pre-sets that 90% of the community knows already..and it makes your song sound really beginner-ish...at first I was like THIS SOUNDS AWESOME when I would listen to a pre-set then after I put it into my song..i realized it makes alot of the songs sound the same no matter what you do to it.

But besides that, it has a really good rhythm to it.

Meroki responds:

ya i kno it sounds rly good till u listen to the presets...ah well im still workin with it

Awesome

I listen to this song everyday :]...how did you make that awesome synth?..It sounds so happy!

SkyMarshall responds:

I guess I was happy myself that day =) Happy me equals happy synth =) Thanks for the 10, appreciate it lad.
